I am a big fan of the Talking Heads, and this song was one of my favorites from them. It is New Wave music at its best. I use to think of David Byrne's music, as being very close to Alternative music.
David Byrne is very talented and imaginative, so that his songs bring on new meaning to what one might think is the true meaning of the songs that he writes.
According to David Byrne, he wrote this song because of a girl he knew, who use to take LSD, in a field next to a Yoo-hoo beverage factory in Baltimore, Maryland. This song reached #54 on the U.S. billboard hot 100 chart, and #17 on the British single chart in 1985.

Black Or White
This is the full version of this video. Most people are familiar with the shorter version, but as a tribute to Michael Jackson, and for his contribution of his musical talents, and video directing, to the world, I felt like it was the right thing to do.
Although I am not a fan of his crotch grabbing, when he dances, I do think that he has inspired many, with his other dance moves, and it saddened me, when I heard that he had died, just before he was planning a come back tour.
He was a man who believed in peace and love. He dreamed about saving the world, from all of the bad things, which are being done to it, on a daily basis. I hope that many will carry on his dream, so that we can all live peacefully, one day soon, in the near future. No wars, no famine, no racial divides.
What are your thoughts about, what should be done to make the world a better place to live?

Pour Some Sugar On Me
This song is my favorite song from the band Def Leppard. After being out of the lime light, for as long as it took Rick Allen to recover from a December 1984 car accident, which resulted in the amputation of his left arm, Electronic drum manufacturer Simmons created a kit, which would allow Rick to be able to play the drums with one arm, by adding drum pads for his feet.
This song had a really cool video, which re-introduced Rick, and his new drums, to their fans, so I decided to put the original video, and a live video on here, because both are worth watching.

White Wedding
This song is one of the best songs that Billy Idol came out with, which appeared on his album 'Billy Idol', in 1982. I chose a live version of this song, instead of the video that was played on MTV, back when they actually played music videos on there, because live concert performances RULE!!!
Were you a fan of Billy Idol's? If so, what was your favorite song?

Wild Thing
When I heard this song from the Troggs, when I was growing up, I thought that it sounded pretty cool. The music sounds sharp and kind of twangy, with a bit of a rock edge, which made it sound less like some of the other 60's songs, that were out there in 1964.
I was a big fan of Sam Kinnison as a stand up comedian, but when he decided to do a music video, of the song "Wild Thing", I thought that he was even more hilarious.
I included the Troggs original version, of this song, because Sam Kinnison's version, is more like a humorous parody of this song. Oh, and he could sing, but instead, preferred screaming :)
Sam Kinnison Wild Thing
Did you recognize any of the musicians in this video? I notice that two front men, were no where in sight. Do you know who they are?

Blue Monday
This is one of the coolest sounding synthesized songs, made with pre-recorded sounds, which were played on keyboards. I wanted to use a live video, so that you could see, what could be done, with electronic keyboards, during the early 80's. I believe that this type of music, was the gate way, toward the 90's alternative music trend.
Do you agree, that certain types of music, from an earlier decade, plays a key role into the next music trend, of the next decade? Even if you don't agree, I would still like to hear from you.

Devil Inside
I was saddened, by the fact that the lead singer of INXS, Michael Hutchence, was found dead, back on Nov.22, 1997, from what the coroner says, was a suicide. People who were close to him say, that it was more likely, an accidental death, resulting from auto-erotic asphyxiation. The other being that someone had killed him, and made it look like a suicide. He was only 37 years old.
This song is one of my favorites. It has a totally rocking sound to it, with a bit of truth within the lyrics.
What are your thoughts about Michael's early demise? Feel free to leave a comment.
